GREAT BAG!!!!, July 22, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Topeak MTX Trunk Bag EX Bicycle Trunk Bag with Rigid Molded Panels (Sports) Works perfectly for my daily 10-mile commute back and forth to work. I submitted a photo showing that this bag can hold eleven 12oz cans of soda so you can have an idea of the size. Normally I pack a rain jacket with a nice size lunch along with my cell, keys, wallet, etc., etc. The zipper is not a problem and the bag is very well made. Comes off the rack very easily and I like that you can use the included shoulder strap or just carry it by the built in handle.

I wish I had purchased this years ago. The box stays on despite our really rough streets.
Cons: As mentioned in other reviews the zipper is too small and seems fragile---It has trouble turing the corner at the back of the box. The tail light loop is too close the the base of the box for the Planet Bike Superflash (which is long in the vertical direction). On my first trip to work I lost mine because it hit the rack when the bike bounced over a hole in the road. I used a seam ripper to remove the loop and sewed it on by hand an inch higher. I have ridden for several months now and the tail light has stayed on.
I spent some time debating size: I picked the smaller one. It is easier for me to get my leg over, but it only holds my lunch and small hand bag (cell phone, wallet, iPod...) and my U-Lock. I go to the beach alot and play volleyball.. i use my bike for commutes to work.. and daily to go shopping.. everything really...
Bag looks great so your not a total geek and is so functional and big enough to cary anything... the best option is the side panners that come down.. i've put work clothes.. laptop.. workoutclosthes and shoes and lock and cable on a daily basis.. and when i get to my destination.. slips right off and installs again later in a second.. best invention ever
